The Goat Trail Fire in Boulder County sparked evacuations as it grew to 1.7 acres early Wednesday.

A half-acree wildfire near the Enchanted Mesa Trailhead is about 50 percent contained, according to Boulder Fire Rescue.

Crews will remain in the area throughout the day to make sure the fire doesn't spread with strong winds expected later Wednesday.
